The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Utah is here to serve local, national and international communities with all aspects of its mission. It has a group of extremely talented physicians who provide the highest standard of care for citizens of our state and region. Its education programs are nationally recognized for excellence. Despite its small size relative to the Department of Medicine at other institutions, the Department is one of the top research departments in the United States with numerous recent multi-year awards keeping the program vibrant.
